My first semester in college was fun and challenging. I wasn’t sure what to expect when I walked into my first class. I didn’t know how difficult it was going to be. I was worried about succeeding and failing classes. Coming to the end of this semester, I see that I had experience both success and failure. I feel very successful that I am doing pretty well in statistics class. In high school, I was always a B student in math. I struggled through many pre-calculus and calculus classes. To be honest, I hated math. This semester, I took one statistics class. I found out that I actually like this subject and I’m very interested in this area of math. I have a pretty solid grade in this class. I accomplishes this because I studied really hard and participated in class. Through this experience, I learned that I should always challenge myself even if I might fail. This is because I would never know what I am going to get out of it. Another thing that I have learned is that my math skills is not really that bad. On the other hand, my failure this semester is getting a B on my first psychology test. I began to get tutoring and going to office hours. I also studied my notes and textbook many times before the test. By doing so, my second test score did go up. I learned to never give up on myself and constantly strive to improve myself. I made sure that I stay on top of my work so that I would not fall behind.
